The Hamilton Celtics Basketball (HCB) is a local non-profit organization located within the Upper Stoney Creek community. Our mission is to educate, encourage, and empower today’s youth with confidence, commitment, and virtue to have successful and productive futures. By achieving our mission, our goal is to help teach student-athletes the values of character, discipline, and teamwork through the sport of basketball.
The Bishop Ryan Catholic Secondary School will continue to be the hub of the Hamilton Celtics House League and Rep Teams. The house league season is expected to span a period of 19 weeks, beginning in October and ending in March. It will provide a fun and competitive basketball experience for boys and girls entering grade 3 to grade 8 at the start of the 2019-2020 school year. The house league will provide the children of Upper Stoney Creek with an outlet for physical development, a fun environment to play in, and an opportunity to make friends.
Our 2018 inaugural season was an overwhelming success due to the immense support, stemming from the community, awesome coaches, enthusiastic volunteers, and the family environment, which built a strong camaraderie.
The house league will serve as the foundation that will help nurture and develop their skill sets further. Our aim is to keep the children engaged so their interest does not peak, but rather grow. By doing this, there should be a natural progression so that they continue to strengthen the foundation and compete at the higher levels.
We want our lessons in sport to transition into lifestyle choices. All lessons, friendships, memories can then be carried from the club to community and life.
Come and be a part of our lifestyle, come and be a part of the CELTICS.
